We provide custom chandelier packing, corrugated boxing with internal support, wood crating, removal, transport preparation, and selective relocation support for delicate, antique, crystal, Murano glass, oversized, and high-value chandeliers.

This is a specialized service involving careful electrical disconnection, secure lowering, custom box or crate fabrication, protective packing, and transport preparation. Materials are made specifically for your fixture and are not reusable.
We visit your site, set up ladders when appropriate, and record height, width, and depth. These measurements are used to fabricate the crate and are the safest option for accurate build planning.
You may provide dimensions, but inaccurate measurements can make a box or crate unusable. If a build is based on incorrect measurements, materials and labor may be forfeited and a new build may be billed separately.
Important: Chandelier removal, disassembly, custom packing, crating, transport coordination, and reinstallation can involve substantial specialty-service costs. Due to the custom nature of crating and packing services, a substantial non-refundable advance payment is required before crate fabrication, materials procurement, or scheduling begins. The required payment structure will be stated in the written quote. Custom-fabricated crates and purchased packing materials are non-returnable once fabrication or procurement begins. If this service does not align with your budget, we understand; this is specialized work and not every project is the right fit.

Chandelier packing and crating is a custom-built, labor-intensive service involving internal support structures, protective suspension, careful on-site handling, access planning, and materials selected for the fixture. This is not standard moving or basic boxing.

Minimum project pricing generally starts at $800. If you are looking for basic or low-cost packing, this service may not be the right fit. We specialize in protecting delicate, high-value fixtures where proper handling is critical.
Share photos, dimensions, ceiling height, fixture condition, access details, service type requested, and whether the chandelier is installed or already removed.
We fabricate the support frame, box, or crate; suspend or block the fixture; and add padding and vibration control.
The package should be labeled clearly and handled upright. Movers or carriers must be instructed not to tilt, stack, or side-lift the crate.
The completed box or crate can be used for storage, third-party pickup, or selective local, regional, or occasional long-distance transport when accepted in the written scope.
Not all chandelier boxes are designed for third-party shipping or freight transport. Please specify your needs in advance so we can build the correct solution for storage, local or regional transport, moving-company handling, or freight pickup.
We do not arrange or manage third-party shipping. Transportation or destination reinstallation by us is selective, availability is not guaranteed, and it must be quoted separately in writing. Unless otherwise stated in the written quote, responsibility transfers upon completion of the quoted onsite services and turnover to the customer, the customer's representative, mover, freight carrier, or shipping provider.
Antique, vintage, used, resale, and pre-owned chandeliers often require additional care because their condition is not always fully known before removal, transport, cleaning, packing, or installation.
This notice applies to chandelier removal, disassembly, transport, packing, crating, storage, or reinstallation services involving fragile, older, pre-owned, antique, crystal, Murano glass, or specialty fixtures.
Customers acknowledge that breakage may occur, particularly with delicate materials such as crystal arms, bowls, bobeches, finials, prisms, glass shades, stems, or decorative components. These fixtures may be structurally compromised due to age, prior installation, concealed fractures, rusted or seized fittings, material fatigue, brittle wiring, old repairs, prior damage, or unknown handling history.
Shawn Penoyer, LLC will exercise reasonable care, but we cannot guarantee damage-free handling of fragile or previously compromised components. Hiring us does not mean we are appraisers, insurers, restorers, authenticators, or experts in the specific history, maker, condition, or value of a particular antique fixture. Unique antique, Murano, crystal, vintage, or custom parts may be difficult or impossible to replace.
Customer/property insurance is the primary source to which any covered property damage claim should be submitted first, subject to the actual terms, exclusions, limits, deductibles, and determinations of the applicable insurance carrier. Customers who consider a fixture high-value, irreplaceable, antique, sentimental, collectible, custom, or difficult to replace should consult their insurance professional before work begins and obtain any appropriate scheduled-property endorsement, valuable-articles rider, inland-marine coverage, cargo coverage, or similar insurance rider. Nothing in this acknowledgment waives liability for gross negligence, willful or wanton misconduct, fraud, or other non-waivable rights.
Driver and Mover Handling Guide
Our crates may suspend the chandelier frame inside a shock-buffered support structure. To keep the fixture centered and reduce damage risk, always lift straight up and never tilt the crate or box.

Quote Intake
Chandelier removal, packing, crating, transport, and reinstallation pricing depends on more than the distance being traveled. Please include the details below so we can determine the right handling method, access plan, packing method, personnel, equipment, and written scope.
Schedule early for chandelier crating and relocation projects. If you are on a moving, closing, or move-out timeline, request a quote as early as possible because our schedule fills quickly. Quoting, building a custom crate, packing a chandelier, and preparing a large fixture for transport require advance notice. Large chandelier projects often require an onsite visit, lowering the fixture, removing crystals or delicate components, documenting parts, packaging, crating, and carefully removing the fixture from the home. This level of preparation is needed to protect the chandelier during shipping or relocation and should not be treated as a last-minute service.
Rush requests are sometimes possible, but availability is not guaranteed. If a rush project requires us to rearrange existing reservations, the rush-order fee can be extremely high and must be approved in writing before scheduling.

Qualification note: Transportation and reinstallation are available only for selected local/regional projects and occasional long-distance projects where the route, access, staffing, equipment, schedule, and budget make sense. Long-distance service may involve dedicated vehicle time, mileage, fuel, tolls, lodging, additional personnel, equipment, and other project-specific expenses.
